dear ones, It’s been a bustling and blessed time for my sacred work these past couple of years. I realize it’s been quite some time since I posted but I thought you might be interested in a couple of things I’m collaborating and loving into being…. I’m excited to invite you to two different offerings […]

dear hearts, it’s been a while. it has been quite a rainbow ride. the past four years have brought me to places spiritually and molecularly i never knew i’d go. i’ve learned so much, and learning still. i’m working at unlearning and letting go more and more of all the labels i’ve put upon myself […]
he was high, not only on drugs, but on himself, life, even love of life. i could see all that in his eyes and dance. in an uncrowded bar–the band cranked out underappreciated meaning-filled music and beauty– and jacob was there, dancing, spinning, full of enough joy of life to stir the maternal protective instincts […]
It’s time to rise and shine.

You’re my favorite cheerleader on the Lord’s squad. Thank you for this uplifting reminder, Becky. Your light makes my path brighter, always. Happy MLK Day!
First off I want to say awesome blog! I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you do
not mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself
and clear your mind before writing. I have had a difficult
time clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out there.
I do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are wasted just
trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints?
Kudos!
Thank you for your comments. Your question about writing process is amusing to me. My process is NOT unlike yours at all: chaotic frenzy of thoughts and words, let it flow until I’m in the zone. I don’t feel like this time is wasted, though, instead it’s an investment to get in flow. After I’ve written a blob of words then I become a gardener and guardian of my writing: pruning words that don’t belong, guarding the meaning of those that do.
I only write when I’m inspired, and I only share writing that I think could possibly be uplifting or thought provoking to others.
I hope this is helpful to you. If you’d ever like me to read something you’ve written, I’d be honored.
Blessings to you!
